Dear Neighbors,

We’re grateful for the opportunity to continue connecting our community with food and supportive services. As we grow, we’re making an important transition to better serve you.

Our last mobile food distribution will be Wednesday, May 6th. This distribution remains open to anyone.

After this, we will begin transitioning to a new food pantry model at Dexter Town Hall, with services starting Wednesday, June 3rd.

New Pantry Hours (by appointment only)

  • Every Monday: 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM

  • First Wednesday of the month: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM

How to get started

Appointments will open closer to June 3rd, but you can prepare now:

  1. Create an account: https://app.pantrysoft.com/login/theheartofmaine

  2. Once scheduling opens, choose a time that works best for you

We will also offer phone support for scheduling if you’d prefer assistance (details coming soon).

Service Area Update

To make sure we can meet the needs of our community well, we will be focusing our services on the following towns: Dexter, Ripley, Garland, Exeter, Harmony, and Athens

If you live outside of this area, you can find other nearby food resources here:https://experience.arcgis.com/experience/5147e714baa24127a4fcb8efe6c88bce/

What you can expect

  • More flexible access – expanded weekly hours

  • Shorter wait times – scheduled appointments

  • Greater choice – select the foods that work best for you and your household

  • More variety – an increased range of available items

We’re looking forward to welcoming you into this new space and continuing to serve our community in a way that offers more flexibility and choice.
